UPDATE: Collegedale City Manager and Engineer Wayon Hines announced his resignation Tuesday night, telling commissioners he no longer had confidence in some of the city’s leadership.
“Unfortunately, I have lost trust and faith in some members of the commission and the decisions being made,” Hines said before officially stepping down from both of his roles.
"I believe doing so immediately is in the best interest of the city and the staff as it will aid in the transition to different leadership," he added.
Hines began working for the city in 2016 as an engineer and was later promoted to city manager in 2021. In his resignation remarks, he reflected on his contributions.
