CANTON, Ill. (WMBD) -- The Canton Police Department is investigating what they called a suspicious death on Wednesday.

Officers initially responded to a home near Baxter Court and Myrtle Street just before 11:30 a.m. after the body of a man was located, a Canton police news release said.

This incident is currently being investigated by Canton police, the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, the Fulton County Coroner's Office and the Illinois State Police.

No additional information is available at this time, but more information is expected to be released by the coroner's office.
