PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Applications are now being accepted for the city of Peoria's Roof Program that helps low-income homeowners pay for needed repairs.

According to City Hall, the application deadline is 2 p.m., Oct. 1. To qualify, a person must own their home, have homeowner's insurance and be current on their property taxes. Also, a person can not have any outstanding fees or fines.

In all, the city's community development department hopes to work on 25 roof projects through the lottery.

Income guidelines are as follows. • For a single-person household, $54,700 • For a two-person household, $62,500. • For a three-person household, $70,300. • For a four-person household, $781,00. • For a five-person household, $84,350. • For a six-person household, $90,600.
