NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police are investigating after a state vehicle was stolen in New Britain and subsequently crashed into a state police cruiser.
Police located the vehicle abandoned in New Britain and the suspect was taken into custody with assistance from New Britain police.
At approximately 2:37 p.m., police were dispatched to the Connecticut Department of Children and Families office in New Britain for reports of a stolen vehicle.
Police were able to track the vehicle and when it was located, it struck a police cruiser. No injuries were reported by state police personnel.
State police did not reveal the identity or age of the suspect.
