PHILADELPHIA — Authorities have identified a body recovered Friday in the Fork community of Neshoba County as that of a man last seen in mid-August.
The Mississippi Forensics Laboratory confirmed the remains belong to 43-year-old Charles Warner Ingram of Philadelphia, using fingerprints collected during a recent incarceration, according to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the Neshoba County medical examiner.
Ingram was booked into the Neshoba County Detention Facility on July 13 on two failure-to-appear warrants and released Aug. 14 after a judge dismissed the charges, authorities said. He was last seen on Aug. 16 on surveillance video walking near the jail and drinking from a water fountain before leaving on foot toward Highway 15.
The body was recovered Aug. 29 in the Fork
