LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Less rain is ahead for the next couple days before storms become possible again by the end of this weekend.

With a weak front moving south, drier weather is expected Thursday. Very little rain will be the result as long as the front drops south, sending temperatures back into the low-to-mid 90’s. Humidity levels should be under control, but it will be very warm regardless if you have outdoor plans. Little change is expected Friday with dry weather continuing for any plans, including high school football games.

Temperatures will stay warm into the weekend with seasonable with highs remaining in the lower 90s both days.

Clouds and humidity will slowly begin to return as we move into Saturday as we are gearing up for our next system to move into the region.
