NEW IBERIA, La. (KPLC) - A two-vehicle crash in New Iberia left a Lake Charles man dead and another person seriously injured, according to Louisiana State Police.
The crash claimed the life of 58-year-old Waddell Mullmore, LSP spokesperson Peggy Bourque said.
Just before 6 a.m. on Sept. 2, Mullmore was driving west on U.S. 90 in New Iberia, Bouque said.
Borque said for reasons still under investigation, Mullmore left the road to the right, overcorrected, crossed both westbound lanes of U.S. 90, continued across the median into the eastbound lanes, and hit a car driving in the left lane.
Mulmore was unrestrained and died at the scene. The driver of the other car was seriously hurt and taken to a nearby hospital.
Routine toxicology samples were collected from both drives for analysis.
