BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) - Leaders with several local economic development groups recently joined members of the "Ohio Commodores" organization for a tour of Humtown Products.
The building used to house the factory for Gorant Candies in Boardman but, for the past year, it's been home to Humtown Products, a company that makes molds and cores using additive manufacturing.
Mark Lamoncha, president and CEO of Humtown Products, said the foundry works with a number of industries.
"We're working with all the major OEMs," Lamoncha said. "In aerospace, in energy, and for automotive."
Owners say their key is the ability to save customers the months it usually takes to manufacture molds and cores for parts and have them ready in just days.
"Everybody's used to pushin' the Amazon button.," Lamoncha
