(WKBN) -- Oct. 1 is a big day for people holding liquor permits in Trumbull County. It's the deadline for when the paperwork is due to renew the permits to the Division of Liquor Control in Columbus. The deadline for Mahoning and Columbiana Counties is Feb. 1.

Paul Kulwinski is Director of Licensing for Ohio's Division of Liquor Control. Kulwinski says there are different permits for companies making liquor, distributing it, and selling it.

"We have about 80-90 variable types of permit types," he said. "So there's permits specifically for if you're a hotel, there's a type of permit if you're at an airport, there's a type of permit if you are in what we call a community entertainment district."
