A 17-year-old boy is one of the victims a woman in her 30s were taken to hospital with serious injuries following a shooting near Keele Street and Donald Avenue.

The woman was struck by crossfire while driving by the area, police said.

One person was arrested at the scene, and a firearm has been recovered.

York Memorial Collegiate Institute, located nearby, was in a lockdown “due to a police investigation in the area,” which was later lifted, the TDSB said.

Other area schools, Charles E. Webster Public School, Silverthorn Community School and Keelesdale Junior Public School, were temporarily under hold and secure, the board added.
