You may have already noticed, but strong southerly winds are sweeping through Hamilton today. Wind gusts of up to 90 kilometres per hour may persist until the evening.

While there is a high of 25 C today, the low will be 10 C.

This weekend will also have cooler temperatures, with the lows dipping below 10 C.

Saturday and Sunday are both expected to be partly cloudy days, with clear evenings. Saturday will have a high of 20 C and a low of 9 C. There is a 30 per cent chance of rain and the high will be 18 with a low of 8 C.
