WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Gov. Greg Abbott visited a Waco neighborhood to highlight funding for new first responder training the Waco Fire Department said will save lives and property.

“The City is hosting RTI training, which is Response to the interface,” said Dep. Chief Philip Burnett, Waco Fire Department. It is a new type of training. Basically, new to the United States.”

The idea is to be able to get into neighborhoods that could be close to a wildfire, assess the situation, and have a better chance of saving lives and property.
