GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A Greensboro man is facing charges after deputies responded to a reported assault, according to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they were called to a home on Candlenut Road around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday for a reported “family disorder.” The victim told deputies he had gone there to check on his son, 30-year-old Brandon Wayne Taylor.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim said Taylor began physically assaulting him after their conversation, causing injuries. After multiple assaults, Taylor got a firearm from his vehicle. The victim was able to get away and call 9-1-1.

Deputies said they escorted the victim from the area and soon found Taylor outside the home near a wooded area. He was later taken into custody.
