GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A family medicine physician says Governor Ron DeSantis’ efforts to phase out all childhood vaccine mandates in the state could mean trouble.
Dr. Shenary Cotter says a high number of people need to be vaccinated in order for them to be effective. If not, people are still at risk of getting certain diseases.
“I actually thought it was a joke,” shared Cotter.
That is Cotter’s initial reaction after hearing that Governor Ron DeSantis is working to phase out all childhood vaccine mandates in the state.
