ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The State Fair kicks off tomorrow and the City of Albuquerque is getting ready for large crowds, by making the buses safer and cleaning up the streets. The City says one problem they deal with during the fair is congestion on the streets outside the fairgrounds and that's why they're encouraging visitors to take city buses, which they say now have added security. For people looking to take advantage of the free bus system, the City is concentrating their Transit Safety Officers near the fairgrounds.

"During state fair we do have elevated mobile patrols of our transit safety officers in the area so they will be stationed like and monitoring this whole corridor to ensure that they're a quick drive away from any issues that may pop up," said Madeline Skrak, spokesp
