AUSTIN, Texas — Two people are dead after a crash in southeastern Travis County on Wednesday night.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the crash occurred on State Highway 130 northbound, near Tesla Road at around 8 p.m. The crash caused the closure of all lanes in the northbound direction.
DPS says the investigation revealed that a a Cadillac XT6 was traveling north at a high speed when it hit a Kia Soul. The Cadillac then rolled multiple times, and both occupants - identified as a 20-year-old woman and a 19-year-old woman - were ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation, according to DPS.
