Iga Swiatek had a strong response for one of the journalists at a US Open press conference after being defeated in the quarterfinals by Amanda Anisimova. The 6-time Grand Slam champion was not at all happy with the question she received after her elimination, giving a sarcastic answer to one of the journalists present.

The world No. 2 ended her participation in Flushing Meadows after falling to the American Amanda Anisimova 6-4, 6-3. The Pole's streak of 9 consecutive wins and 18 victories in her last 19 matches came to an end.
