Underworld kingpin Tony Mokbel has made a final push to quash 14-year-old drug convictions but it could be weeks or months before he knows whether he is successful.
The long-awaited Victorian Court of Appeal hearing was scheduled to run for four days but instead finished this morning.
Mokbel, 60, is seeking to overturn drug trafficking and importation convictions, claiming they were tainted because of barrister-turned-informer Nicola Gobbo.
Gobbo was registered as a Victoria Police informer from 2005 to 2009 and was acting as Mokbel's lawyer for four years before he fled to Greece in 2006.
She continued to advise him when he was extradited to Melbourne in 2008.
