A Gold Coast Uber driver is fighting for her life after being stabbed multiple times by a teenage passenger.

The attack unfolded outside Coomera Westfield in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police have located the 16-year-old boy and has since been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, armed robbery and deprivation of liberty.
