LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Elyria police officers are going to be enforcing new traffic laws near Ely Elementary School after they said they found “serious traffic concerns.”

According to police, the amount of traffic at arrival and dismissal times has led to dangerous conditions on Gulf Road.

To help keep everyone safe, police will begin enforcing the below changes:

No stopping/parking on Gulf Road

No left turn into the school parking lot from Ohio Street during arrival and dismissal times

No left turn out of the school parking lot onto Ohio Street during arrival and dismissal times

No blocking the driveway

This will only be in effect during arrival and dismissal.
