KILLINGLY, Conn. (WFSB) - A section of Route 12 in Killingly is shut down early Thursday morning following a crash involving a car and a utility pole.

The road closure is in place on Wauregan Road between Sheppard Hill Road and Garrick Street.

Officials reported the crash at around 2:27 a.m. on September 4.

Emergency crews are on scene, and drivers are being asked to seek alternate routes until the area is cleared.

According to state police, the road is closed due to wires down.

No injuries were reported.
