IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - DVIP/RVAP Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Crisis Services (Domestic Violence Intervention Program) announced Thursday a new executive director team will take over before the end of the year.
Longtime executive director Kristie Fortmann-Doser is retiring in December. The agency’s Succession Committee and Board of Directors has voted to name Alta Medea and Delaney Dixon as co-executive directors.
DVIP/RVAP says as co-executive directors, Medea and Dixon will use their areas of expertise with a combined 40 years of experience in victim services, advocacy, and community engagement to guide the agency into a stable, sustainable, and bright future, building on the agency’s history of supporting victim-survivors throughout the region.
