CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Today was the 19th annual Five Seasons Stand Down event at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids.

The Five Seasons Stand Down was originally designed to help veterans experiencing homelessness or near homelessness find services like housing, health care, employment and more. Now, the event in Cedar Rapids also helps civilians experiencing homelessness.

In 2024, the event saw a record attendance, with 205 participants (102 veterans, 103 non-veterans), which was a 40% increase from 2023.

This year, participants could also connect with elected officials and learn how to get registered to vote.
