HANK’S HONEYS: There has always been a Super Bowl hangover for the previous year’s loser and we are sensing that loss may have been the start of a downward trend for the Chiefs. Nevertheless, the trends favor Andy Reid’s squad. Over the past five seasons, the Chiefs are 9-1 SU, 7-3 ATS in season openers and 5-0 ATS when they open away from Arrowhead Stadium. Plus, they own the Chargers with seven straight SU wins. The Bolts have been abysmal as a short underdog and that didn’t change in Jim Harbaugh’s first season. We’re looking for both teams to play it conservatively as the Chargers lean on their physical O-line and the Chiefs game plan around their depleted receiving corps, making the under the play.
