The Philadelphia Eagles made a “strong play” to trade for Micah Parsons this summer, according to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter.

To no surprise, the Dallas Cowboys were said to have zero interest in trading their All-Pro edge rusher to a division rival.

Jerry Jones instead traded Parsons to the Green Bay Packers for Kenny “The Best Run Stopper In NFL History” Clark and two first-round picks.

It’s not hard to believe that Howie Roseman would’ve been willing to beat that offer. Parsons is a future Hall of Fame type of talent and the Eagles could certainly afford to boost their pass rush outlook. It was worth a try.

The sense here is that Parsons had some level of interest in returning to his home state of Pennsylvania, where he could’ve been reunited with former Penn State team
