NORFOLK, Neb. (KCAU) — The Norfolk Police Division (NPD) has issued a Scam Alert after they say two scam victims lost thousands.
According to a release from NPD, both victims had been called by someone claiming to be a banking official.
The caller told the victims that they were investigating a theft and that money had been deposited into the victims' bank accounts. The caller told them that once the false investigation was finished, the money should be brought to a drop-off location so the funds could be collected.
Police said that a courier would show up at these locations to collect the cash drop.
