BENZIE COUNTY, MI – A young driver escaped with minor injuries after their vehicle went off a bluff and caught fire in Northern Michigan.
According to UpNorthLive , the Benzie County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash, which occurred on scenic M-22 near St. Pierre Road at 7 p.m. on Sept. 1.
Deputies said the vehicle left the road at a scenic overlook parking lot and went over the bluff before falling 200 feet down its face and catching fire.
The driver, who will not be identified due to age, escaped the vehicle before the fire started, according to the TV station.
The crash is being investigated.
