An elderly Alberta man has life-altering injuries after a serious crash in BC Wednesday.
BC Highway Patrol (BCHP) says the crash, between two pickup trucks, happened on Highway 1 in Chilliwack.
“Due to the speed of the collision, both vehicles rolled into a deep ditch at the side of the highway,” Mounties said Thursday.
BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) says one person — the Alberta man driving a black GMC Sierra — was airlifted to hospital in serious condition.
The other driver, an 18-year-old Chilliwack man, was driving a white Toyota Tacoma and was left with minor injuries.
Investigators had a portion of the road closed for nearly eight hours.
