NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Nashville Fire Department reported that several vehicles were parked in front of the fire hydrant on a street where a two-home fire occurred on Wednesday evening.

Fire crews responded to the 2700 block of Windcrest Trail to for the fire at about 5:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a home fully involved in smoke and flames, with a second home exposed to the original fire, with heavy smoke and flames showing. Crews were able to deter the flames from spreading to a third, nearby home.

No injuries were reported in this incident. The American Red Cross is assisting the families who lost their homes in the fire.

Investigators responded to the scene and determined the fire to be accidental in nature. However, responding crews noted that vehicles were seen
