Kids can get a free ice cream cone and meet Oregon police officers Saturday during Cops & Cones.
The community outreach activity sponsored by the Oregon Police Division and local businesses will give children time to interact with first responders, organizers said.
The noon to 2 p.m. event takes place at the Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, 3675 Navarre Ave., in Oregon.
In addition to the small ice cream cone, children will get “a complimentary raffle ticket for the chance to win one of five police officer Halloween costumes which were donated by another local Oregon business,” police said in a news release.
