A judge has granted a motion ordering an examination be conducted on the alleged victim of a rape case in Trumbull County.

According to court records, Judge Ronald Rice granted a motion on behalf of 21-year-old Isaiah Short of Liberty Township, who is charged with two counts each of rape and gross sexual imposition (GSI).

The motion ordered an independent psychological examination to be conducted on the alleged victim in this case, who Trumbull County Assistant Prosecutor Gabe Wildman told 21 News was intellectually disabled.

Short's charges stem from alleged incidents that happened in Girard back in November of 2024.
