FULTON, Ill. (KWQC) - Five people had to be extricated from two cars after a crash in rural Fulton.
The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the intersection of Garden Plain Road and Sand Road for a two vehicle crash Wednesday morning.
When they arrived, crews found five people trapped in the vehicles. Officials said fire and EMS worked to extricate the people who were taken to a hospital in Clinton, Iowa.
Investigators found a Ford Explorer being driven by Julio Ochoa-Mendoza of Savanna, Illinois was driving on Sand Road when it did not stop at a stop sign. The Ford then crashed into a truck being driven by Bradley Kitzman of Clinton, Wisconsin.
As of Thursday morning, deputies had not said if anyone had been charged in connection with the incident.
