Sometimes, a social media post can strike a chord and make you reflect. Recently, I came across a video criticizing the trend in some restaurants of replacing traditional menus with quick-response (QR) codes.

Part of the dining-out experience is being able to choose your meal and check the price from a menu you can actually hold in your hands–not from a phone screen. Little by little, the use of devices and electronics continues to take over most of our activities, the places we visit, and even the spaces where we go specifically to escape from them.

Dining out is already an experience threatened by inflation and other factors; please don’t take away the simple satisfaction of selecting a dish without the need for a screen.
