(NewsNation) — Social media influencer Raymond Harper, better known as “Rolling Ray,” has died two days before his birthday, his mother confirmed to TMZ. He was 28.

A Facebook post attributed to Shazola Nay announced the news.

“It is with a heavy heavy heart that I let you know that my son Ray Ray (@Iamrollingray) has gone home to be with the Lord,” the post reads. “I thank everyone who has called or texted, this is going to be a long road… Please pray for us as we push forward to lay him to rest.”

Zeus Network, on which Harper appeared in several shows, also confirmed the news in an Instagram post.
