SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools is surprising teachers with a combined over $205,000 from their Back to School grants.

The Back to School grants are for items and programs that are extra opportunities for students that teachers want to provide.

Natalie Murdock, Executive Director with the Foundation for SPS, says these grants are made possible by the community wanting to support teachers and the public school system.

These grants can range in what they are used for and how much money has been requested. Natalie says being there to surprise the teachers with the grant is an incredible experience.
