Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler is facing a civil lawsuit stemming from a car crash in Franklin, WSMV reports. Attorneys have filed the suit on behalf of Perry Lee, who was involved in the collision with Cutler on October 18, 2024.

According to the filing, Lee was driving along Bridge Street when his vehicle was struck from behind by Cutler’s Dodge Ram. The complaint alleges Cutler was following too closely, driving at an unsafe speed, and was impaired at the time of the crash. Court records show Cutler recently entered a plea agreement in his related DUI case. He was arrested the night of the crash and later admitted guilt to driving under the influence.
