TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A threat made against Taylorville Junior High School was unfounded, police said.
Taylorville police conducted a forensic analysis of a phone and conducted interviews after becoming aware of a threat made against the school on social media.
TPD posted a message to parents on Facebook saying, " Please let your children be aware even showing a video of violence in a school you will be held accountable. Please keep in mind when you use police resources which we take this very serious you can face consequences. Please be careful what you say and do which can lead you in trouble."
The Taylorville Community Unit School District said any students who make threats will face consequences and disciplinary action. They said there is no imminent danger to students or staf
