Will Taylor Swift perform during the halftime show of the next Super Bowl?

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell wouldn’t say as much, but he certainly didn’t rule out the possibility when asked about it on TODAY on Sept. 3.

“We would always love to have Taylor play. She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time,” Goodell said.

“Is it in the works?” Savannah Guthrie asked.

“I can’t tell you anything about it,” Goodell replied.

“Is it a maybe?” followed up Savannah.

“It’s a maybe,” he said.

Craig Melvin then asked when people could expect to hear an announcement.

“I’m waiting on my friend Jay-Z,” Goodell joked in response. “It’s in his hands. I’m waiting for the smoke to come out.”
