FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio -- There are plenty of varied opinions regarding the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in society.

Then there’s Fairview Park City Schools Superintendent Keith Ahearn, who sees an opportunity for technology to benefit students.

“We’ve been looking at AI tools since last spring at some of our professional development,” he said.

“We’ve reached a critical mass where our staff is interested in learning how to incorporate AI into the classroom more. So it was just a natural progression of the professional development we’ve been doing.”

That’s why recently the district -- using a $30,000 TechCred grant -- employed a cohort of 30 teachers to engage in professional development training through AI OWL.
