LEWISBURG, W.Va. — The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department believes an attack, which turned into a murder and malicious wounding this week, may have been a vendetta, but what it was about is still very unclear.
“The perpetrator, Michael Loudermilk went there to do this. We’re unsure of what the vendetta was, but he believed he was there to do ‘God’s work’ in his words,” said Greenbrier County Sheriff Bart Baker.
Deputies were called to a home near Ronceverte early Wednesday morning where they found Michael Loudermilk leaving the scene in an SUV. He refused to cooperate and eventually led police in a pursuit which ended at a Fairlea service station with a scuffle and his being hit with a taser. Loudermilk is now in the Southern Regional Jail without bail facing charges of murder and ma
