BEREA — Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett did not practice Sept. 4 due to a hip injury, the team announced.
Garrett's status for the Sept. 7 opener against the Cincinnati Bengals is unknown. Game injury designations will come out after practice Sept. 5, while coach Kevin Stefanski will also address the media at that time.
The injury was a new one, as it was not listed on the Browns' initial injury report for the week on Sept. 3. The only player who did not practice on that day, defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr., practiced on a limited basis Sept. 4 for the first time since offseason knee surgery.
