FOXBOROUGH - It’s been nearly two years since Josh McDaniels was kicked to the curb by the Las Vegas Raiders.

As the head coach of the Raiders , he went 6-11 his first year and was fired midway through his second season after a 3-5 start.

As luck would have it, the Raiders are first up on the docket for the Patriots in their season opener at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.

While Las Vegas has a new head coach in Pete Carroll, some of McDaniels former assistants remain, namely defensive coordinator Patrick Graham.

Speaking with reporters on Thursday, the Patriots offensive coordinator was asked about facing the team that dumped him.

If there was any added motivation, McDaniels didn’t let on.
