MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - Flood control construction will continue through the fall in Minot, and here are some road and facility impacts to know starting next week.

The pickleball courts and park entrance to Roosevelt Park will not be open to the public starting Monday, Sept. 8.

According to the Mouse River Plan, there’s been a lot of progress in the last four months. It includes building a levee, flood wall panels and footings.

The decision to close the areas is for the safety of residents and to meet deadlines before winter.

The closure is part of phase MI-7 in the flood protection project.
