The National Weather Service issued an updated severe thunderstorm warning at 3:52 p.m. on Thursday in effect until 5 p.m. for Oswego County.

Be ready for penny-sized hail (0.75 inches) and wind gusts of up to 60 mph.

"At 3:52 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Central Square, or 10 miles northeast of Baldwinsville, moving northeast at 40 mph," explains the weather service. "Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees."

Locations impacted by the warning include Central Square, Redfield, Brewerton, Hastings, Constantia, West Monroe, Williamstown, Parish, Altmar and Osceola. This includes Interstate 81 between exits 32 and 33.
