About 60 artists will paint a mural on the retaining wall on the north side of Northeast 117th Street, west of Northeast Highway 99 and across from Salmon Creek Regional Park, during the first two weekends of September.

The mural is in partnership with Clark County Public Works and community members, and will feature a salmon and watershed pollution prevention theme.

Public Works is looking for volunteers to help with management of painting supplies, setup and cleanup, and more.

Volunteer shifts are three to four hours long starting at 7:30 a.m. each day, Sept. 6, 7, 13 and 14.

Volunteers can sign up for multiple shifts and days. Those who volunteer must be at least 18 years old, able to lift and carry more than 50 pounds, and walk up and down a sloped area.
