The Advocates of a Latino Museum of Cultural and Visual Arts & Archive Complex in Houston, Harris County (ALMAAHH) will be formally recognized by the City of Houston during a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at City Hall.
The event, hosted in partnership with the Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Board (MHAB), will take place on Monday, September 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Legacy Room at Houston City Hall. The celebration will feature live performances by Somos Gente, Batalá Houston, and One Sample Cultural Foundation, along with food by Flor y Miel . The program aims to honor the contributions of Latinos to Houston’s history and future while highlighting the city’s diverse cultural identity.
