CENTER, Neb. (KTIV) - Three lawsuits were filed by former Knox County, Nebraska, employees regarding unfair termination.
These lawsuits were filed by the county’s former chief deputy, Daniel Henery, former 911 coordinator, Heather Kienow, and John Thomas, the former deputy county attorney in Knox County. Both Henery and Kienow filed lawsuits against the board of supervisors, while Thomas filed a lawsuit against the county itself.
These actions were taken after a special board meeting held on Tuesday, Aug. 27, which involved a closed session. As previously reported, Henery and Kienow were discharged from their positions and County Attorney Hanna Knox Jensen was suspended for one year without pay.
