Eight men have been charged with allegedly running a high-end car theft and international smuggling operation in Dearborn, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office and Dearborn police.

The men allegedly conspired from July 2023 to August 2025 to receive stolen vehicles at one of four commercial or industrial lots, then would pack the vehicles into shipping containers and send them to port cities via freight or rail, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office. From there, they shipped the containers overseas.
