A pedestrian was seriously injured in a car crash in Newton Thursday morning, according to police.
The crash happened near the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Homer Street around 7:15 a.m., Newton Police spokesperson L.t. Amanda Henrickson said in an email. One car was involved, and the pedestrian — who Henrickson described as an “older” man — was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene, police said. Authorities are still investigating the crash.
Newton police ask that anyone with information about the crash call its Traffic Bureau at 617-796-2106. No further information has been released.
