HENRY Co., Ill. (KWQC) - The Henry County State’s Attorney’s is seeking a governor’s warrant to bring Jamison Fisher from Iowa to Illinois to face charges in the 1996 death of Trudy Appleby.
In late August, Fisher told a magistrate he did not want to waive extradition to Illinois , according to court documents.
Court documents said the magistrate ordered that a warrant be issued committing Fisher to the custody of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office for 30 days to enable extradition through the governor’s office.
State’s Attorney Catherine Runty said she submitted original materials to Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker’s office on on Aug. 27. As of Thursday afternoon, she has not yet heard back on the request.
If Pritzker’s office grants the warrant, it will then be sent to Iowa Gov. Kim Rey
